How the Palliative Care Helpline can help you

Often people have very little idea about what happens as we die, how care will be coordinated, or even how much it will cost. Similarly, many people want to remain at home until they die, but they have no idea of how to access the services that they need, to do so.

The registered nurses, social workers and counsellors who operate the Palliative Care Helpline are there to assist you. They can link you to local services that provide either home or hospital based palliative care for you or your loved one.

They can help you to plan your own end of life experience by providing you the information required to make informed choices. Many people find planning end-of-life care difficult, that’s why we’re here. We have the skills and the knowledge required to make this difficult time less daunting and more empowering.

Helping you plan ahead to make these choices is what we do best.
